The Valley of Flowers trek leads alongside gushing streams and high mountains, which opens out to a valley that can be best described as a carpet of flowers. The valley spreads across 26 kilometres and was made famous by the accounts of Frank Smythe, who chanced upon it during his wanderings through the western Himalayas in 1931.

This 14 kilometre trek is at an altitude of 3000 to 4000 metres. Hemkund, the emerald lake, located en route, mirrors the icy splendour of the surrounding peaks of Hathi Parbat and Sapt Shring. A Gurdwara and a Temple dedicated to Lord Lakshman stand at the banks of this lake.

Duration: 9 Days Delhi to Delhi

Best Time: June to October

Level: Easy, requires a basic amount of fitness
